February
Fáilte ar ais, (Welcome back!) We hope everyone had a lovely relaxing holiday.
Before the break we worked very hard and learned lots of new things. We learned about tens and units in Maths and wrote lots of fantastic animal reports in English. We learned a poem called Bogha Báistí (The Rainbow) and created beautiful chalk and pastel pictures about the poem in Art. We were very lucky to have more visitors to our school. The Garda Band came and brought lots of fantastic instruments to play for us. We really enjoyed learning about the instruments and listening to the sounds they make.
When we came back to school, we all made promises/resolutions to try harder at something in school for the New Year. So far, we have been doing great so keep up the hard work everybody! :) We are busy learning about halves and odd and even numbers in Maths. We are beginning to learn about Narrative stories and hope to write our own very soon. For Ethical Education and History we are learning about a very important man. His name is Martin Luther King. Ask us and we can tell you lots about him! We are practising our gymnastics skills in P.E and cannot wait to begin swimming lessons in February!
Take a look at our great work and come visit again soon!
Slán go fóill!
Siobhán, Joanna agus Rang a hAon.
