We have two 3rd classes this year. The teachers in these classes are Connor and Deirdre.

Connor's Class

Hi everybody,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Firstly, we would like to wish Kenny and her family all the best in their new home and school in County Cavan. Our loss is definitely Cavan's gain!
We have been very busy recently in all aspects of the curriculum. We hope you parents haven't been too confused by the new idioms you may have noticed your sons and daughters using. Since December we've been having great fun learning and dramatising our 'Idioms Of The Week'. Other recent highlights have included: learning all about the Stone Age (we even created our own Stone Age Art); some experimentation with some marble art; learning a few different European folk dances and we designed our own 'doggy trails'!

Deirdre's Class

We would like to give you a brief update on rang a trí. We did a project on India and learned a lot, with the invaluable help from Uma’s parents. It was wonderful, thanks so much! We learned lots of interesting facts about india as well as the religions, culture, pastimes, clothes & food. We also did some lovely Indian rangoli patterns!
We did some Christmas stories, rhymes and tongue twisters as well as some festive songs, in preparation for our end of term, whole-school Christmas singing. In art, we made a variety of Christmas decorations such as Christmas wreaths, trees, stars & snowmen from salt dough, which were then beautifully decorated. Have a look at our pictures.
