Gillesa's Class
February
We are learning all about the Great Famine this month in Classroom 14 (we even acted as landlords, middlemen, farmers, cottiers and labourers in Drama!). We took inspiration from the Famine Memorial statues on the banks of the river Liffey and made our own statues using clay - we're looking forward to painting them next week!
We are going to be really busy during Team Teaching this term as we have chosen our novels for Book Club and we've started working on Narrative writing too! Did you know that all good writers are readers first and foremost?!
We're learning all about staying safe and avoiding risky situations in S.P.H.E. and P.E. is a whirlwind of tumbles, balancing acts and controlled jumps as we improve our Gymnastic skills.
