P.T.A.
P.T.A. stands for Parent Teacher Association and in Castaheany E.T. it has been running since March 2006.
All parents / guardians in the school are automatically members and meetings take place in the school once a month at 8 pm on a Monday evening. (For dates see below). The meetings last for about 1 hr, and are run by a committee, which is elected each year.
The P.T.A. has organised a number of different events; cake sale, bag packing, graduation dinner, art work and family picnic, all with the help of staff and parents alike. A big THANK YOU!! to everyone who has got involved in any way so far!
If you like to attend meetings but the evening time does not suit you, we also organise breakfast mornings every four weeks. And every Wednesday morning you can come in for tea / coffee at 8.30 am. Toddlers and babies are very welcome!
Everyone is always welcome to attend meetings; get to know other parents in the school and helping out with what interests you.
