Birthday Party Policy

We are aware that a birthday is a very important and happy day for each child and the school is more than happy to celebrate and acknowledge your child's special day by discussing it at news time and singing 'Happy Birthday'.

However, it is not possible to hold individual birthday parties in school as this disrupts class time. Parents are asked not to bring in birthday cakes and / or large party bags.

If a parent would like to treat the pupils in the birthday child's class, one small treat per child can be given to the teacher, who will distribute these on the following Friday, after the children have eaten their lunches.

Invitations for birthday parties should be given out outside of school as invitations given during class time can lead to some children feeling excluded.
