Welcome to Junior Infants! We have two Junior Infant classes this year. These classes are taught by Aideen and Muireann.

April Update
Muireann's Class
The children had a very special visitor at the end of March. We had a visit from Matthew Ryder the artist. He showed use his caricatures and paintings and then picked one child to do a caricature of. We then all did our own caricatures. It was great fun to draw these funny pictures!
We also had a cinema visit our school. We saw The Children of Lir and raised money for the Laura Lynn Foundation. All of the money raised will help to build a children's hospice for very sick children.
Seachtain na Gaeilge and our St. Patricks Parade gave us an opportunity to show others how much Irish we have learnt so far this year. We sang our Irish songs around Ongar Village.
We have had lots of help from parents this term. A huge thanks to Nuzhat, Karen, Agneska, Alina and ***** for all their help.

March Update
Junior Infants have been very busy learning all about animal. We learned about farm animals, jungle animals birds and pets.
We had a pet day in school. Jason and Rebeca brought in their fish and Raza brought in his birds. Mogamad Shu-aib brought in his cat and Martyna brought in her hamster. It was such a fun day. Mary our principal brought in her dog to visit us too. We got to pet all of the animals. Look at the photos to see the animals.
We learned all about Mr. Noah and his ark- we know a song and a rap about this. Look at the picture of Mr. Noah’s ark. We drew all of the animals.
We made scary animals out of clay. They are Gruffalos. Teacher read us the story about the Gruffalo.
To celebrate Pancake Tuesday we made pancakes in school. It was really easy- we mixed flour, eggs and milk. They were delicious especially with the lemon, sugar and chocolate toppings! You can see some photographs of us making the pancakes in Ciara’s room.
